I just wanted to briefly share the trials and tribulations endured as the child of a photographer. Both of my boys have had to endure, and yes I must stress endure, my unrelenting photographic obsession.
This parentally induced torture is especially heinous when I, the parent/photographer, acquire a new piece of gear I feel needs to be tested, manipulated or simply played with. I have been known to force them, bribe them, and flat out beg them to pose for me. More often than not, it is with great resignation and the aforementioned bribery, that finally has them striking a pose, or sporting a pout. The following images are the result of one such recent session I imposed upon my youngest son after acquiring a new back up flash.
As anyone can clearly see, he is not as interested in my latest acquisition as I am. He is barely tolerating my now famous, “just one more, I promise” and my new flash which may possibly cause permanent spots in his eyes. Good thing he loves me.
