I thought I would get out and play a bit and find fun ways to photograph motion. While strolling through downtown Collingswood, NJ, I found just what I was looking for, a parking meter. Not the new fangled boring kiosk, but a good old fashioned metal parking meter. The kind I walked into as a child while strolling the avenue with my mother shopping and day dreaming. Lucky for me I didn’t walk into any meters while strolling on this day, but I did notice there were a lot of red cars and trucks on the road, and what could be better for showing motion than a red car zipping by? Moments later, a red car made it’s way right in front of me, and I had my shot. A solitary parking meter with a red car zipping by. Motion. A little bit of the right place at just the right time.
